Adam Butler, CFA, CAIA, AIF
Director, Private Client Portfolio Manager
Adam Butler is a Director, Wealth Management with Richardson GMP. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations, and is a Portfolio Manager. In partnership with Michael Philbrick, Adam leads the Butler|Philbrick & Associates team within Richardson GMP at the firm's Toronto office. Adam earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Queen's University before starting his career in the investment business in 1998 as an equity trader at Scotia Capital Markets. He moved on to advise private clients at BMO Nesbitt Burns before moving to Richardson GMP in early 2007. Adam achieved his CFA designation in 2006, and was granted Associate Portfolio Manager status at GMP in 2007. In addition, Adam acquired his CAIA designation in 2007 in order to better evaluate and recommend alternative investments such as hedge-funds. A Newfoundlander, Adam grew up in a medical family, surrounded by healthcare professionals, which sparked his passion for serving this professional community. Adam currently lives in Toronto where he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lauren, and their two young children.

Michael Philbrick, CIM, AIF
Director, Private Client Branch Manager & Associate Portfolio Manager
Michael Philbrick is a Director, Private Client with Richardson GMP. A Certified Investment Manager™, Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ and an Associate Portfolio Manager, Michael, in partnership with Adam Butler, leads the Butler|Philbrick &
Associates team within Richardson GMP at the firm's Toronto office. Michael
earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Carleton University before starting
in the financial services business in 1991, becoming an Investment Advisor with
BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1994. In 2002, Michael moved his practice to Scotia McLeod
where he added the duties of Branch Manager. In 2006 he joined GMP Private
Client in Toronto. Michael was recognized as one of the Top 40 under 40 in 2006
by Business Link Magazine. He was a founding board member of Hamilton's Juravinski Cancer Centre, and is a
former Canadian Football League player. During his eight year career with the Hamilton Ti-Cats Michael competed in two Grey Cups games, in 1998 and 1999, winning the Grey Cup in 1999. An active Ti-Cat alumnus, he currently serves on the Board of the Hamilton Tiger-Cat Athletic Trust Fund. Michael lives in Toronto with his wife, Sharon, and their two daughters.

Lee Richards
Associate Investment Advisor
Lee has worked in financial services for over 25 years. Lee fostered an interest in investing in the early 1990s as a Mutual Fund Sales Reprentative at
Bank Of Montreal. Later, she studied and successfully challenged the Certified Financial Planning exam. Lee transitioned to the brokerage division in 2000, and in 2002 she joined Michael Philbrick at Scotia McLeod. When presented with the opportunity to join GMP Private Client with Michael in 2006, she enthused, "I have to go, I enjoy working with our clients too much". Lee has committed to lifelong learning, recently achieving the position of Options Licensed Associate Investment Advisor. Lee enjoys rounds of golf in the St Catharines area where she lives with her husband Gary, and enjoys visits from her two daughters who are continuing their studies at university.

Manuel Garavellos

After completing a Bachelor of Commerce and earning a Dean’s List Award from the Rotman School of Business at the
University of Toronto, Manny worked at Brant Securities Ltd., an independent investment firm. At Brant, Manny worked directly under
the firm’s top Investment Advisor where he earned a role as Equity Trader, executing orders directly on the TSX and TSX Venture.
Responsibilities included executing trades for Accredited clients.
Seeking a group with institutional presence, Manny then moved to RBC Direct Investing as an Investment Representative, and then to BMO InvestorLine, where he worked on the
"5 Star Team", which serviced the highest net worth clients in the firm. His customer service efforts exceeded firm requirements during his tenure. Manny joined Richardson GMP in January 2009.

Carmen MacCallum
Associate
Carmen graduated in 2005 with an Honours Geography degree from the University of Western Ontario, having
completed an exchange program at McGill University. She began her career in the
investment business with GMP Private Client in 2006 as an assistant. Having
completed the Canadian Securities Course, she now enjoys serving clients as a
full Associate. A keen student, she continues to enhance her knowledge of the
investment world. Carmen enjoys an active lifestyle which includes snowboarding
in the winter months and commuting by bike in the summer.
